ServiceMax CEO Dave Yarnold officially launched the opening our new office in Japan and the beginning of a two-day welcome tour on Tuesday, October 6th. The opening of our Tokyo office was 15 months in the making and underpinned by rigorous market research and innovative development of a tailored ServiceMax product for the market.

Launch 1

At the launch event, Dave presented on ServiceMax’s company history, field service industry leadership and growth before taking questions from the audience about the company’s plans in Japan. Dave’s comments covered ServiceMax’s approach to connected service, perspectives on the potential for Internet of Things in field service and company projections on the next few years of innovation in the industry.

Launch 2

ServiceMax COO Scott Berg (at the podium above) followed Dave’s talk by presenting a roadmap that outlined ServiceMax’s plans to grow our business and develop strong partnerships in Japan. Several media, customers and ServiceMax staff were on-hand to celebrate the occasion.

Dave and Scott were joined onstage by fellow ServiceMax colleagues for the traditional sake barrel ceremony (above) to officially represent the beginning of the company’s operations in Japan. The ceremony went off without a hitch (and only a minor flinch). The event was curated to express our excitement and the grand opportunity to provide field service management solutions in the Japanese market and broader APAC region.

Launch 3

The launch event venue was covered from floor to ceiling in ServiceMax livery and attendees donned their best ServiceMax swag to commemorate the occasion.
